My name is Bridget. I have a passion for health, fitness and wellness. My journey began years ago when I was young. I was raised in a large active family where health was a priority. Fast food was rare and soda was a no go. My mom made healthy home cooked meals and my dad kept us active in sports which instilled a love for wellness and fitness. I loved the way I felt when I exercised and ate right. I have always loved life and had a pretty positive outlook on it. I met my husband Erik and he quickly became my best friend. Nearly 30 years later, we have 6 children, 3 children-in-laws and a grandson with two on the way.
After having my last child I decided to become a certified personal trainer, to continue my passion for health and wellness for myself and others. For over ten years, I’ve loved working out with, laughing with, crying with and supporting women to clarify and reach their health goals. At the same time, I’ve taken pride in my own health and being in great shape. With the busyness of life, that frequently led to pushing the limits, with as little sleep as possible. Doing things on my own without accepting help became a badge of honor for me. It seemed to be working quite well, until it didn’t.
One morning I woke up with a light fever and excruciating pain in my hands and feet. Everything I used to be able to do was gone in a flash. I didn’t only lose my health, but also my personal identity. I did my best to hide it because I was so embarrassed. This couldn’t really be happening to me. A year and a half went by with no answers. I could barely walk or use my hands to do normal everyday tasks. My hormones were completely out of whack, my joints were racked with inflammation and my once healthy, seemingly invincible body was a fraction of itself. I was confused how something like this could happen to someone as healthy as me. I thought I was doing all the right things to ensure I had perfect health.
I’m passionate about learning and research, so it was time to figure this out. I soon realized I was living a life on auto-pilot. I had become disconnected with myself and with nature. Through my own journey, I’ve come to fully appreciate our amazing bodies created by God. I believe they can heal when we put the right things in and get rid of the toxins, get reconnected with nature and with intention, take our health back into our own hands. We are the CEO of our body, mind and spirit. That’s my passion–to help you restore, reconnect and live as nature intended.
My invitation and mission is to help you love yourself enough to exercise, eat real food, ditch the toxins, meditate, sleep, get in nature, and live a life with intention.
